If TVs are measured on picture quality, then the Sony Z-series stands alone. Near perfect black levels combine with the ability to reproduce the brightness and color of the real world, while your favorites get up scaled to near-4K HDR brilliance. It’s a viewing experience that can’t be replicated.
Need a 75? Buy this. Need a 65? Buy LG’s OLED instead

Wow this is the best 4K tv on the market. And the best tv that Sony ever made. I First purchase a Samsung un75ks9000 4K tv, me and my wife notice there was some red flickering kept showing up so I Return it back for a refund. Then I went back to my local Best Buy store and came across the Sony xbr75z9d I was never a big fan of Sony’s TVs but this one is the best looking 4K TV I have ever seen, and the picture quality is just mind blowing. and that the 3D is awesome as well. When I receive the TV last week the first movie I played was Kingsman The secret service. It was so clear the colors was stunning. and the second movie that I played was Lucy you can see the rich dark black that looks real good. then I started to Try out some 3D movies and the first one that I played was Avatar I was like wow this is the best TV that I ever own. So bottom line this TV is very expensive but it’s worth every penny.

The best TV on the market for displaying 4K and HDR content, just make sure you have an external device to do it justice.
Sony defeats the LG OLED, but Android tries to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

As of this writing, Amazon.com shows the dimensions of this TV as 9.75″ x 70.31″ x 42.44″, but they are actually 3.125″ x 66.375″ x 38.375″ (without stand). Amazon is showing the dimensions of the product’s BOX, not the product!
it’s some of the BEST money I ever spent

I was in the market to replace my 50″ Pioneer Elite Plasma TV. I really was intrigued by my research online about OLED technology. That said I wanted a 75″ set, and was not prepared to spend $20K on the LG 77OLEDG6P. Kids and college coming up sort of thing. I didn’t know what to make out of the Sony XBR75Z9D, coming from a 10 year old plasma. I found LED sets to seem to produce unnatural/soap opera images to my eyes. The previous review by Diztronic on the Z9D pushed me over the edge, and I purchased it from Amazon last month.
Expensive but worth it if you like the home cinema experience

This TV was my last chance to get something with 3D technology that can play the 3D movies I have been collecting over the years and also upgrade to the latest Ultra 4k HDR and Dolby Vision all in one package. I have read the specs on this TV and the new 940E and I would say this one is better. The draw back is that it will set you back almost $5000 for the TV alone (65 inch) and over $6000 when you consider the upgrade to an Ultra 4k capable Blue Ray player and A/V receiver. Ouch! I am still smarting from this purchase. The way I figure since I don’t like going to the cinema anymore I may as well bite the bullet and bring the cinema into my living room. This TV coupled with an OPPO UDP-203 and Yamaha RX-V683BL both purchased from amazon definitely delivers the cinema experience at home. One more thing Sony has confirmed they will deliver a firmware upgrade for this TV that bring Dolby Cinema (extension of HDR) to it later this year.
