Underrated though some of the criticism is deserved. this device is actually good because it packs a lot in a tiny device you can stream and download many games including Telltales Walking Dead parts one and two, also there are other PS1 classics such as Resident Evil available for download just to name a few plus the added option to use PlayStation Now Streaming services with this service you have access to even more games and you can search the web on this little gizmo that may not seem like a big deal for those of us who own multiple PC’s and Tablets, but it’s still a great feature considering how inexpensive this box is, in fact, I found myself playing the Playstation TV more often than my Wii U console because it has more of the games I enjoy playing and more verity. Things you may want to know the Playstation TV box will work with off-market controllers, but with some limitations, for example off-market controllers won’t work for PSNOW but it works fine for downloaded games in the Playstation store portal in case anyone was wondering. Ok, now the “criticisms” while the device is nice, it has some frustrating qualities such as poor wifi I experienced this first hand, and I can’t lie the issue went on for over a month after I purchased the device and I became so frustrated that I began to have buyers remorse due to the fact that I absolutely could not get the box to work well over “wifi” or even a via wired connection the device would lose connection, and fail, though after a month of hassles I finally! got the thing to work mind you I have “blast internet of 75MBP” that’s one of highest available with my current ISP provider so you can imagine my frustration during this problem, but thankfully the net connection issue is now resolved, but the issues don’t stop there, no the next issue is “storage” there isn’t enough storage in the device, and the proprietary cards that you’ll need to expand storage are overpriced, the 4GB cards are the cheapest you’ll get and 4GB is barely enough also you won’t get the full 4GB you will get a little over 3GB, that said, is the Playstation TV worth buying? Yes, but you’ll have to be prepared to spend some extra bucks for accessories if you choose not to purchase the bundle package with everything included, also you’ll need a strong net connection and you may experience some problems at first but when you get the device up and running it’s great! oh one last note I didn’t use the console mirroring feature so I can’t give you any information on that right now, but I may update this review if I use the feature in the near future, but in the meantime, I hope this helps someone.

The PlayStation TV is an excellent device that allows you to play your PlayStation Vita games on your TV and with a PS3 or PS4 controller (Vita also usable as a controller, I think). PSTV is about the size of a deck of cards and comes with 2 cables (power cable and HDMI). On the side there’s a slot to put your Vita cartridges in. On the back (or the front?) there’s a power button, USB plugin, HDMI plugin, Ethernet plugin, power cord plugin, and Vita memory card slot. On the other side there’s just an LED light to show if it’s on as well as to show you it’s a Sony product.

For the most part, it’s great.

While, yes, this device is not compatible with every Vita game out there, it IS compatible with a good number of them. Many new titles are compatible, and the whitelist of games keeps getting updated.

great compact console to bring on trips

I use this mostly for remote play, so I can stream my ps4 to my bedroom. It would work fantastically if I wasn’t in such a crowded apartment with 14 different competing wifi signals, performance is still pretty great, just don’t dream of doing anything competitive, or that requires split second timing.
