This is a really cool product, If you are looking for an insanely inexpensive way to watch netflix, hulu, play ps3/vita titles, and stream content from your PS4, but if you are trying to use Playstation’s television service VUE then you will be disappointed, and possibly perplexed like I was. How do you have a product named Playstation TV, and not enable it to use the Playstation TV app? Seriously? Seems like a missed opportunity, and a little misleading considering it’s sold along side amazon’s fire tv, and google’s Chromecast which are both devices outside of the of PS4, and 3 that support the VUE app. Hopefully they will incorporate it later.

Awesome device deserves to be recognized and used on a regular basis.

Couldnt ask for anything better, bought two of them so i could travel with one and have one in the living room while my PS4 is in the bedroom. The quality is great on a home network sometimes i forget im using the remote play feature at all. when traveling depending on your location and the network you’re on can be a hit or miss because it does require fast internet to play smoothly and in HD. i believe sony recommends a download and upload of 12Mbps for HD play at both ends. I use the Playstation TV mainly for remote play of ps4 games but it does also offer other features such being a PS Vita for your TV and being able to use PS Now for Ps3 games and backwards compatible for PS one games so it has many many gaming possibilities and perks for a cheap price. really happy with what sony did. plus its small so it doesnt take up space like a console or dvd player and can be hidden behind the tv.

A fun "console" even if you don’t stream

My primary purpose for buying this is to play games on the hardware itself and not for streaming/multimedia consumption. I use the DualShock 3 controller from my PlayStation 3, which works well enough, but the updated DualShock 4 is probably a slightly better choice on account of its built-in touchpad. Note that you can turn on a setting to emulate the touchpad for the DS3, but its operation is slightly awkward.

Sony’s underappreciated pocket toy

This is a brilliant device in my opinion! You can play PS1 classics, PSP games, and some PS Vita games. I HIGHLY recommend researching current compatible games. If your looking to play Wipeout 2097, Uncharted, or Spy Hunter, sorry, not compatible yet (or maybe ever). In fact, some titles that aren’t compatible don’t make sense (Wipeout Pulse, but not Wipeout Pure?). Sony is slowly adding compatible titles, but if you have an extensive classic collection, you can play most of them, and if you have a PS3 or computer, you can play even more of them (Silent Hill, Burnout Legends anyone?). Even the PS Vita games you can play are pretty varied! The best part is, this thing is amazingly tiny! So, basically, if you want a reasonably priced way to play almost all of Sony’s portable titles on your big screen with a controller, you can’t go wrong. Oh, and you can pair Bluetooth headphones to this and play in complete silence if someone else is sleeping, or you could watch an SD movie upscaled to 720p, or you could listen to music.

Worth the price for what I need

I grabbed this for a few reasons, the room where my PS4 is located gets hot over the summer, so I wanted to have the ability to play games elsewhere in the house(near an AC.) At first, I tried this wirelessly but there were too many issues, so I ended up getting an Ethernet powerline adapter and that fixed any connection issues. It streams from my PS4 pretty well, there is a loss of color/quality though, but ok for casual games like Rocket League.

As you can assume, this thing does a great job of playing Vita games on a TV, rather than making a cable for the original Vita portable which also had the video scaler built into it. I’m glad that they did, as I much prefer using the wireless Dual Shock 3/4 controllers rather than have a portable system with a bulky cable sticking out the back like the PSP did.
