Lets start by saying that my husband and I love love love this baby carrier. We’ve spent a lot of effort and time to find one that’s 1) comfortable for our baby 2) easy to use 3) versatility 4) long term good investment. We brought our 5 month old baby with us to Baby R Us to try out all the carriers in person before ordering one… we were there for 3 hours! This review will only focus on LILLEbaby, BOBA 4G, and ERGO 360…basically our top three contenders. Please note that I didn’t try to breast feed while trying these on so I cannot comment in that aspect.

I enjoy that there are varieties for positioning

Make sure you practice wearing your baby before using it for any considerable length of time. Baby needs training time. I had to watch the youtube video to figure out how to change the width of the seat area. There is a small learning curve for the parent. I enjoy that there are varieties for positioning. My little girl likes to see out and she tolerates forward facing much better when she is alert. It is comfortable to wear.

As a first time mom and dad we explored sole baby wearing options that included gifts and purchase alike – including and not limited to Boba, ring slings, Britax. Living in Hawaii, our primary concern next to ease of wearing was how the carrier handled heat. Well, tying wraps was not for me and forget about getting my poor husband to learn! All options were way too hot, too, even during early AM walks. Then I did a little research on Instagram and found Lillebaby. After comparing heaps of reviews I decided the look and apparent ease of use of this carrier was worth the investment, and decided on this carrier over ergo baby because it seemed to be more along the lines of what we need. FINALLY this low maintenance mom has found the perfect carrier! Loved that my husband loves it too. We feel confident carrying him hands free, and the neck support that you can button down was a huge plus. The seat was easy to adjust and the pack stays much cooler during walks. A huge plus, when you want to take it off if bub falls asleep you can just lay it down and unclip which makes for a smooth transition if he falls asleep during a walk (which happens 100% of the time). So glad we found this when he is three months and plan to use it til we can’t any longer!

Essential for daily life

2.5 years later and we still love this carrier! My first carrier ripped but was still under the one year warranty so I received a new replacement. We use this for every outing with our 3 month old and we still occasionally use it to back carry our 2.5 year old. It’s versatile, easy to adjust, and more breathable than any other soft structured carrier I’ve seen. It can still get hot, but it’s manageable and I’m sure not really as bad as other materials might be.

LOVE this carrier!

After trying at least 7 different carriers (unsuccessfully) with my first child, I really researched my options for a carrier for baby #2. I am so glad I decided on Lillebaby. It is easy to use and seems to be comfortable for baby. He falls asleep every time he’s in it. I love that the leg width can be adjusted for little ones. It does rub his thighs a little if they are exposed, but nothing that seems to bother him. They just get a little red, but not raw or sore at all. The material overall is nice and soft and the mesh is perfect for hot weather (we live in FL). Overall, I can’t recommend this carrier enough. Worth every penny!! If you’re on the fence, get the Lillebaby. You won’t be disappointed.

Great baby carrier!

Just buy this. I spent a lot of time looking at the ergo and thinking it was just too expensive, and then I saw someone at a fair with a Lillebaby. The lumbar support is genius and I wish I had it sooner (I got it when she was around 8 months). It’s SOOO Much more comfortable than the cheaper carriers (we had an infantino and a bjorn) and easy to put on and take off by yourself. My baby loves facing outwards in it, and I take her on a walk around the block every night so I can get used to supporting the extra weight. She gets excited when I start to put it on (kind of like how the dog gets when I get out his leash). I wouldn’t carry her for hours in it, but, it is great for little jaunts or places where it’s just too busy to have a stroller. Plus, I can’t imagine ever being cold at all with a baby strapped to you, so I love the breathability.

We love this carrier. My husband has a spinal injury that didn’t allow him to carry our daughter with other SS carriers. He loves this one, the lumbar support is great and its super fast to take off, and get baby in. We were lucky enough to attend a local lending library to try on some carriers, but there was only 1 LLB, 15 Tulas and about 20 mommies, so I didn’t get to try on the LLB. We got this one because it had a mesh outer and we are moving to somewhere hotter than San Diego, otherwise I would have purchased a Tula just because I was able to try it on. I think if they were able to donate more than one carrier to local lending libraries they would have more of a following.

Ideal carrier to avoid neck and shoulder pain, thoughtfully executed design.

I looked at practically every sling on the market. I have neck and back problems from previous car accidents, carrying my stress in my shoulders, and being a mom. I started to suffer from the way I would hunch while bouncing my new baby or while nursing etc. I had to go to physical therapy 3 times a week so it was crucial to me that I find a baby carrier that didn’t aggravate those issues.

Love the Lillebaby

My husband and I both LOVE this baby carrier. It was the one that I had wanted for our second child – but thought I couldn’t justify spending this much on a second carrier (we already own the traditional Ergo carrier that we still use with my 3 year old daughter). I had been using a baby k’tan with my son – and loving it – but at almost 16 pounds and 4 months old knew it was not going to cut it for the long term – either for him or for my and my husband’s back. We wanted a carrier that had forward facing option – the old-style ergo does not. We LOVE this carrier. The back support is fantastic, it adjusts easily for both of us, and our son loves it. I can see us using this for a long time to come. The only negative – the instructions, even with the photos (which are hard to see with details) were not very good when it came to making the “narrow seat” adjustment – I had to read through Amazon comments and see the details of how to do it with better photos from another reviewer.
